In order to get the US Letter of Affirmation which allows you to get married in Thailand you need to book an appointment at the US Embassy in Bangkok. The affidavit form needs to be completed and costs about $50 per affidavit. The process normally takes about 2 days as you need to return to collect the affidavit. The affidavit gets notarized at the Embassy and this costs $50 per seal.
