TOURIST VISA (TR)

 

When applying for a single entry visa to Thailand, there are several requirements that must be met. Firstly, applicants must complete the application form, ensuring all sections are filled out clearly. Additionally, two color photos of the applicant (size 3.5 x 4.5 cm) are required, along with a copy of a valid passport that must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival into Thailand. A copy of a national ID, driver’s license, or house registration can also be used if the applicant does not have a national ID.

Furthermore, applicants must provide a copy of an airline ticket or confirmation slip that includes their name, flight number, and date of entry and departure, as well as proof of accommodation bookings for their entire stay in Thailand.

The requirements for Iraqi nationals and Palestinian nationals with residence in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank differ slightly. These applicants must also complete an application form and provide photos, a copy of a valid passport, and a copy of their national ID or driver’s license.

Additional requirements for multiple entry visas include evidence of permanent residence or residency permit in Jordan, an official bank statement, and evidence of employment or student status. The visa application fee for a single entry is 30 JOD, while multiple entry visas cost 150 JOD.

It is important to note that the single entry visa must be utilized within 3 months from the date of issuance, while double or more entries must be used within 6 months from the date issued. Likewise holders of tourist visas may not be gainfully employed in Thailand.

Emergency Travel Document (ETD)

 

If you need to travel back to Thailand urgently, an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) could be an option for you. These documents are issued to individuals who have lost or had their passports expired but need to return to Thailand. It’s important to note that the ETD is valid for one month and can only be used as a passport to travel back to Thailand, and not to other countries.

Additionally to apply for an ETD, you can visit the embassy in person and fill out a request for a certificate of identity. However, it’s important to make an appointment one day in advance via telephone at number 079 848 5558.

Likewise when applying for an ETD. In addition you will need to provide several supporting documents. Including a copy of your passport, a copy of your ID card or house registration, and two passport-size photographs. If you are under 20 years old, there are additional supporting documents required. Likewise such as a birth certificate, a copy of your parent’s passport, and a copy of your parent’s marriage certificate (if applicable). Additionally, both parents must sign the consent agreement for the minor to travel abroad. This or a child custody document must be provided if the parents are separated.

Thai Electronic Passport

 

Starting March 11, 2021, the embassy E-Passport with a validity of not more than 10 years is available for applicants. The embassy is open from Sunday to Thursday. Likewise appointments must be made one day in advance by calling 079 848 5558. Here are the important details to keep in mind:

  1. The petitioner is required to make a passport in person.
  2. Moreover the petitioner must be of legal age, either 20 years old or older. This or 17 years old or older and attain legal age by marriage. For underage petitioners who have a name in the civil registration database but not yet in the house registration. They can only apply for a passport for a citizen not over 5 years old. However cannot apply for a passport for a foreigner not over 10 years old.
  3. In addition supporting documents that must be presented include the original passport and one copy. In case of a lost passport, a police report must be presented. Also required are one set of ID card, one set of house registration or copy, and a copy of the name and surname change document (if applicable).
  4. Likewise the passport fee is 45.00 Jordan Dinar, and it takes 3-4 weeks to complete.
  5. Additionally the applicant may pick up the passport book at the Royal Thai Embassy between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, either in person or by proxy, by presenting the passport receipt and the original passport.

 

 

Thai ID card

General information

1.1. It is mandatory to apply for an ID card in person.

1.2. The applicant must have had an ID card before to be eligible for applying.

  1. Preparation of evidence for obtaining a national ID card

2.1. To get a national ID card, the applicant needs to fill out a request form.

2.2. If the ID card has expired, the applicant must present the original card without any fees.

2.3. Additionally in case of a lost ID card, the applicant needs to provide other Thai government-issued documents, such as a passport, along with a copy of the house registration, driver’s license, or birth certificate indicating the 13-digit identification number. A fee of 4 Jordan Dinar is required.

2.4. Firstly if the ID card is damaged, the applicant needs to provide the damaged card. Secondly if the card is damaged to the extent that the identity cannot be verified, the applicant must provide other Thai government-issued documents, such as a passport, along with a copy of the house registration, driver’s license, or birth certificate indicating the 13-digit identification number. Lastly a fee of 4 Jordan Dinar is required.

2.5. If the applicant wants to change the name or surname on the ID card, following Thai law (already corrected at the Office of the Civil Registration of Thailand), the applicant needs to present the original ID card, along with evidence of the name or surname change. A fee of 4 Jordan Dinar is required.

2.6. Likewise if there is a change of address in Thailand, the applicant needs to bring the latest house registration and the original ID card. A fee of 4 Jordan Dinar is required.

2.7. Additionally if the applicant still holds the old version of the ID card, white-black (before 1988), the applicant needs to present the old version of the ID card, white-black, along with other Thai government-issued documents, such as a passport, and a copy of the house registration or birth certificate indicating the 13-digit identification number.
