Thai Visa 

The Thai visa application is done by two companies. These are VFS Global Pvt. Ltd. and BLS International Services Ltd. This is for the Single Entry Thai tourist visa from Kolkata. Thai Tourist Visa

When applying for a tourist visa, there are certain documents that are required. First and foremost, a valid passport or travel document with at least 6 months validity and two blank pages is necessary. Additionally, a completed visa application form with the applicant’s original signature is required. Two recent photographs with a white background and no sunglasses or head covering, except for religious or ethnic reasons, are also necessary.

Proof of travel is also required, such as a photocopy of a confirmed return travel ticket. For non-Indian passport holders, proof of residence in India is necessary. Accommodation details must also be provided, including evidence of confirmed hotel or accommodation reservation in Thailand under the applicant’s name.

Likewise if traveling in a group, a cover letter must be provided stating all names with passport numbers, plan of travel, and places to stay. If intending to stay with Thai relatives or friends, an invitation letter and a copy of their ID/passport must be provided. If the persons providing accommodation are not Thai, their copies of visa and work permit, valid for at least six months, along with a copy of their passport must be provided. Additionally, a copy of the last Thai visa (sticker) and Thai immigration stamp/remarks must also be included in the application.

Financial Proof 

(Individual)

To apply for a tourist visa, there are mandatory and additional documents required. The mandatory documents for an individual tourist include a passport or travel document with a validity of at least 6 months and two blank pages, a complete visa application form, two recent photographs, a photocopy of the return confirmed travel ticket, proof of residence in India (for non-Indian passport holders), and evidence of confirmed hotel/accommodation reservation in Thailand.

Moreover, for an individual tourist, a bank statement of six months with an equivalent minimum current balance of USD 700 per person or USD 1400 per family is also required. In addition to the bank statement, a cover letter typed and signed by a family member who sponsors the trip, along with a signed photocopy of the sponsor’s passport, must be submitted if the financial proof of the applicant’s sponsorship is provided by a family member.

For an incentive group, a cover letter from both the company and travel agency, stating all names with passport numbers and their place of issue, along with the plan of travel and place(s) to stay for the incentive group, is required. Additionally, the company’s bank statement attested by the bank and a photocopy of the company’s business registration attested by the company are also mandatory. The cover letter must also state the financial guarantee for USD 700 per person/20,000 Thai Baht for each individual traveler in the group.

Finally, there are supplementary documents that can be submitted, including evidence of employment and regular/monthly income in India, such as income tax returns, a letter of employment stating salary, payment slips, and business license/registration, etc. You will also need to show your payslips and letter of employment.

Thai passport (e-passport)

 

To support a passport application, the following documents are needed: an ID card, house registration, and birth certificate in the case of minors, but no photo is required. In cases where minors are applying, parents must also provide their consent by signing a form. The cost for passport renewal is 2,000 rupees and the passport application form must be completed at the Consulate General. The new passport will be sent to the Consulate General in Thailand and will take approximately 2-3 weeks from the date of submission. Therefore, it is important to plan ahead when scheduling travel arrangements.

For monks, additional documents must be prepared, including net books (net certificates), a letter from the Center for the Overseas Departure for Monks and Novices (Prof.Tor.Por.), documents specifying titles such as encyclopedias, diplomas, certificates, and an original passport.

Birth Registration

You must make an appointment in advance at (91-33) 2440-3229-30.

To obtain a birth certificate for a child, there are certain requirements that need to be met. Firstly, an appointment must be made in advance at (91-33) 2440-3229-30. Additionally, both parents and the child must be present for the birth registration. It is important to note that parents who wish to apply for a birth certificate for their child must be of Thai nationality. If the child was born in the Republic of India, a birth certificate issued by Indian authorities must be provided and certified by local authorities. If the petitioner was born before March 1, 1992 (1992), they should refer to section 2.4 for further details.

Married

Depending on whether or not the parents are registered as married. Likewise there are different supporting documents required for the birth certificate request. Additionally for parents who have registered their marriage, they must provide a birth certificate form, a passport size photograph of the child, a photocopy of the birth certificate issued by Indian authorities. In addition, a copy of the parents’ marriage certificate (which should be translated and certified by the Royal Thai Embassy if it is in a foreign language). Finally a copy of the parents’ passport pages, and a copy of the front page of the ID card or house registration of the parents.

Not Married

Likewise for parents who are not registered as married, they must provide a birth certificate form. Additionally a passport size photograph of the child, a photocopy of the birth certificate issued by Indian authorities. Also a copy of the parents’ passport pages, and a copy of the front page of the ID card or house registration of the parents. In addition, they must fill out an interrogation record form. Likewise which must be done at the Consulate General. If the child wants to take the father’s surname, a consent letter from the father is required and can be filled out at the Consulate General. Finally if the father cannot be contacted, a copy of the child custody certificate or Por Kor 14 must be provided.

Divorced

In the case of parents who have registered for divorce. Additionally they must provide a birth certificate form, a passport size photograph of the child. Likewise a photocopy of the birth certificate issued by Indian authorities, a copy of the parents’ divorce certificate, a copy of the divorce memorandum stating child custody (in case of divorce registration in Thailand). Also a valid copy of the child custody certificate or Por Kor 14 (in case of divorce registration in India). Lastly a copy of the parents’ passport pages, and a copy of the front page of the ID card or house registration of the parents.

To register a marriage or divorce at the consulate, certain requirements must be met. Firstly, the registration must be between Thai nationals, or between Thai nationals and foreigners, and it must be registered under Thai law.

Secondly, applicants must make an appointment at least 7 working days in advance and submit the required supporting documents to the staff for preparation. Thirdly, registration appointments will be made with consular officers of the Consulate General on working days and take approximately 30 minutes. There is no fee for this service.

 

Documents Needed

 

Supporting documents for marriage registration application: To apply for marriage registration, the following supporting documents are required:

  • Details of the marriage registration application form, which should be filled out and signed by both the bride and groom
  • Valid passports for both the bride and groom
  • ID cards or house registration documents for both the bride and groom
  • Single status certificates (Bachelorhood Affidavits) for both the bride and groom, which can be obtained as follows:
    • Note that for Thai people, obtain a certificate of single status at the district or district. This where the domicile is according to the house registration.
    • Note that for foreigners, obtain a certificate of single status at the local authority. This with a domicile according to the house registration.
  • In case of a previously registered and divorced marriage, a copy of the divorce certificate must be presented.
